After the Brexit dramas of last week, the UK needed a bit of cheering up. And they got it last night as Barry Gibb took to the stage alongside Coldplay to close this year’s Glastonbury Festival. Usually a playground for the young, Gibb, 69, proved that age is no barrier to rocking it, performing ‘To Love Somebody’ to an adoring crowd.
But it was when Coldplay’s Chris Martin took a ‘referendum’ of the crowd on whether Gibb should remain, that the real magic happened as the swaggering bass line of ‘Stayin’ Alive’ brought disco to Glasto.
Watch for yourself and decide whether Barry’s still got it. It’s a big thumbs up from us!
