Julia Roberts reveals why she had hairy armpits at the Notting Hill premiere

Although it may not seem like current news, Julia Roberts has opened up to why she had hairy armpits at the 1999 premiere of Notting Hill. At the time, she caused a big stir in the entertainment scene with her adorned armpit accessory, but has now opened up about it being somewhat of a feminist statement.

The actor made hairy headlines when she was celebrating with co-star Hugh Grant, and was recently asked about the moment during an interview on Busy Philipps’ talk show, Busy Tonight.

“Also just because of feminism, I’m always thinking about these things — you know, you rocked the hairy armpit at the Notting Hill premiere, and you never really said if that was like a statement,” Philipps said.

“The picture is vivid in my mind, actually, from that moment,” Roberts joked.“I think I just hadn’t really calculated my sleeve length and the waving and how those two things would go together and reveal personal things about me.

“So it wasn’t so much a statement as it’s just part of the statement I make as a human on the planet,” she said.

Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough’s wild pre-wedding parties

Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough have spent the last weekend in October at lavish buck’s and hen’s parties. The soon-to-be wife of Karl Stefanovic was seen out in Melbourne in a standard cliché novelty “bride” tiara and veil with a group of her friends. The group included her business partner, chicken heiress Tamie Ingham.

The group rented out the Crown Casino’s $11,500-a-night Presidential Suite, dined at Melbourne’s exclusive Carolina restaurant, and feasted on another hen’s party cliché staple: a penis cake.

Meanwhile, Stefanovic had his own buck’s party in Queensland, kicking off the day at Grant Kenny’s Minyama Island mansion. The bucks party was reportedly very low-key, and he was joined by his brother Peter Stefanovic, and friends including Michael Tramonte from Delta Riggs, Nova host Tim Blackwell, and A Current Affair producer Steve Marshall.

Yarbrough and Stefanovic get married in just over a month, with the wedding believed to be happening at One & Only Palmilla Resort in Los Cabos, Mexico in December.

Russell Crowe’s shocking transformation for latest role

Russell Crowe, or a very different looking version of him, was seen filming his latest project in New York recently. But with the makeup and prosthetics involved for the filming of the movie, you would barely recognise Russell Crowe at all.

The 54 year old New Zealand-born actor, is playing late Fox News chief Roger Ailes in an upcoming Showtime Series The Loudest Voice In The Room. The filming is taking place in Midtown Manhattan and is set for release in 201. The miniseries will track the rise and fall of Ailes, who was the chairman and CEO of Fox News in the US. He was one of the most powerful men in television before he resigned in 2016 after a range of sexual harassment allegations. Seth Macfarlane, Naomi Watts and Sienna Miller are set to co-star.

US presidential election: Democrats might need a celebrity to win, former advisor says

An insider, (a former top advisor to Hillary Clinton) has revealed that the Democrats will need a very well known star to pull off the win in the next US presidential election.Currenly amidst mid-term election, the US Democrats are counting on the using stars like Tom Hanks or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

As counting continues for the US midterm elections, Democrats are hoping for a swing in their favour to then set their sights on the presidential elections in 2020. But according to Philippe Reines, they don’t have a strong enough candidate to knock Donald Trump out.

Unless of they sign up Hanks or The Rock.

“I think Tom Hanks would win, I think The Rock would win. I have a hard time seeing how a lot of the people who are running would win. Just as comparison,” Mr Reines said. “Trump is a freak of nature in electoral terms. It doesn’t matter if he’s dumb or not. It doesn’t matter what I think. He is a bulldozer,” Reines said.

last year on Saturday Night Live, Hanks and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson flippantly announced their intention to run for office, where The Rock named the Cast Awaystar as his running mate.

“America needs us,” the pair jested.

“The only thing the country agrees on any more is pizza… and us.”

The US presidential election is scheduled for November 3, 2020.
